Grey River Mouth
In January 1848 on a visit to Greymouth, Thomas Brunner journeyed up the river which he later named the Grey River to honour the then Governor of New Zealand, Sir George Grey. In 1868 the town took the name Greymouth from its situation at the mouth of the Grey River.
Coal Creek Falls

A wide, 7-meters high waterfall, Coal Creek Falls is located in the rural area,in 10-minutes drive away from Greymouth. This waterfall is included into New Zealand Must See Waterfalls list due to an easy access, unique beauty and a good swimming spot.
Pancake Rocks and Blowholes

The pancake rocks are the most visited natural attraction on the West Coast with good reason. These ancient formations are a true wonder of nature - and they really do look like pancakes! The famous Pancake Rocks and Blowholes are just a 20 minute loop walk from where you park your vehicle on the main highway at Punakaiki.
Hokitika Gorge

Sometimes you see photos of a tourist spot and think yeah right, it can’t look as good as that in real life. The Hokitika Gorge is one of those places. The vivid turquoise water surrounded by lush native bush looks too good to be true but trust us, it is well worth a visit. Enjoy excellent views of the blue-green waters of the Hokitika River as it makes its way through the rock sided Hokitika Gorge.
